Aperko isn't another swiping app that keeps you glued to your phone forever. In the morning or during the day you say you have time and feel like meeting someone today. A woman picks a man who's free today, asks him a question and he answers with a video. She replies with her own video, he suggests when and where, she picks one or suggests her own. And you're at a table in a venue we've checked. Pick your side and see what it looks like from your point of view.
A woman's view

Number, WhatsApp code, first name or nickname, age, city and e-mail. No password.
Why a phone and not an e-mail: anyone can create ten e-mail addresses in a minute. You have one phone number, and because the code comes via WhatsApp, it has to be really yours.
Get verified
Upload a profile photo and take a selfie. We check it's you and estimate your age. If you're 18 to 21, you also add an ID. The selfie isn't added to your profile, it's only used for verification.
If you want, you can blur it. It's revealed only to the man you pick.
A few sentences, interests, neighbourhood. That's how men notice you in the list.
Why: nobody on the other side pretends to be someone else. Men and women are verified the same way.
Say “I'm free today”
Tap and add from what time you're free today. Men who are free today will see it. You can also plan other days, we'll mark you in the morning. At 10:00 and 16:00 we'll message you on WhatsApp with how many men are free today.
Why only today: because there are no months-old profiles here. Whoever is free today has a green tag. Picks for today close at 23:00. If you've already picked someone, nothing is lost, you'll agree on a time within a week.
You choose
Browse men in your city: photo, a few sentences, from what time they're free today. Men can send you interest, but the first move is always yours. A man can't approach you.
Why: the woman chooses, the man doesn't waste time swiping. Nobody messages you, nobody bothers you.
You ask, he answers with a video
You ask him one question. He answers with a short video and asks you something in it. He has 24 hours.
Why video and not chat: anyone can write nicely these days, even with AI. A video answering your question is recorded only by a man who really wants to meet you. You see and hear who you're sitting down with.
You reply with your own video
You answer what he asked in a short video. Only he sees it, we delete it after the meeting. You have 24 hours.
Why: so he knows you're real too. It's fair: him to you, you to him. And a man who has seen and heard it's you will show up.
He suggests when and where, you pick
He suggests up to three times: day, time and a venue from the list of places we've checked in person. You pick one, or suggest a different one. Pick a today's time at least 2 hours before it starts, a time on another day by 21:00 the evening before. Then it's set. The man books the table under his name.
Why a vetted venue: we know the place. You can sit and talk there in peace, nobody will overcharge you, and you can leave whenever you want.
On the way
60 minutes before the meeting a coordination panel opens in the app. One tap tells him you're on your way, running late or already seated, and where.
Why this way: you don't have to give a stranger your number. He has no way to ask for it, and you don't have to turn him down. You give him your number at the table, if you want to.

Why photo verification?
Upload a photo and take a selfie. We check it's you. In 30 seconds. Both sides are verified the same way. Between 18 and 21 we require an ID so it's certain everyone is an adult.
Why video on both sides?
Because anything can be written. Before you meet, he answers her question with a video and she answers his with hers. Both see and hear who they're sitting down with. Anyone who can't spare two minutes for that doesn't belong on Aperko.
Why no chat?
Because most chats never lead to a real meeting. On Aperko it's one question, two videos, one time, and you go meet. Each step has a 24-hour limit, then the request ends.
What we check during verification
- that you're a real person, not a photo pulled from the internet
- that the profile photo is really you (selfie) and that you're an adult; between 18 and 21 we require an ID
- that the photos on your profile are current
What we don't store
ID
Between 18 and 21 we require an ID, but we don't store it. The selfie is seen only by the verifier and the Aperko team during review. It's not added to your profile. We delete it with your account.
Your number
The other side never sees your phone number, not even after the meeting is confirmed.
Photos
They're not on the public internet and search engines don't find them.
Videos
A video is seen only by the person it's meant for. After the meeting, or when the request ends, we delete it within 24 hours. It's never public.
